Crystals by intention

Crystals for Chakra Balancing: A Complete Beginner Guide

The chakra system is an ancient framework for understanding the body's energy centres, originating in Hindu and yogic traditions. Each of the seven primary chakras corresponds to a region of the body, a set of qualities and capacities, and a colour. Crystals are chosen for chakra work based on their colour correspondence and energetic resonance with each centre. Working with your chakras through crystals involves placing stones at the relevant area, breathing into the sensation, and setting an intention for balance and alignment.

The crystals to reach for

How to work with them

Lie down and place one crystal at each chakra point, beginning at the root and working upward to the crown. Rest in stillness for fifteen to twenty minutes, breathing slowly. Notice any area where you feel particular sensation, warmth, or resistance. After the session, drink water and ground yourself by standing barefoot on the floor or earth if possible.

A simple ritual to begin

Once a month, at the new moon, lie down with your chakra crystals placed at their respective points. Play soft music or sit in silence. As you breathe, silently check in with each centre from root to crown: what feels open, what feels tight, what needs attention? Let the awareness itself be the beginning of balance. There is nothing else you need to do the first time. The practice develops over time.
