Jade Crystal: Meaning, Luck & Heart Energy

Jade refers to two distinct minerals: nephrite and jadeite. Both are green (though jade also occurs in white, lavender, and other shades) and both have been prized across East Asian, Mesoamerican, and Maori cultures for centuries. In China, jade has been associated with virtue, wisdom, and the five blessings of charity, modesty, courage, justice, and wisdom, for more than five thousand years. It is simultaneously humble and ancient.

What Jade means

Jade is associated with the heart chakra and is used to attract abundance, luck, and harmony while encouraging wisdom and balance. It is a gentle stone that does not force; it creates the conditions for good things to grow. Many people use jade when they want to attract prosperity, when they are building something new, or when they need a daily companion that encourages steadiness and care.

How to use Jade

Keep a piece of jade in your workspace or near your front door to invite abundance and positive energy. Hold it during meditation when you want to access a quality of wise, unhurried decision-making. Wear jade jewellery as a long-term companion that builds its energy over time. Place jade in the east of your home, which in feng shui is associated with health and family. Cleanse jade with cool water or moonlight.

What Jade pairs well with

Citrine alongside jade creates an abundance-supporting pair. Green aventurine and jade together are used to attract new opportunities. Clear quartz amplifies jade's harmonising energy.
